Clark Hill PLC issued the following announcement on June 3.
Clark Hill Strasburger announced the addition of Chris Heinrichs, Of Counsel, Maurine “Mo” Heinrichs Shipp as Senior Counsel, and Kimberly A. Ford, Associate, to its San Antonio office. Heinrichs and Shipp, father and daughter, as well as Ford join the firm from San Antonio’s Heinrichs & De Gennaro P.C.
“We are beyond excited to have the father-daughter duo of Chris and Mo as well as Kimberly join our San Antonio office as they bring more than 4 decades of combined experience in estate planning, probate administration, guardianship, tax law and many other specialties,” said Marty Roos, Member-in-Charge at Clark Hill Strasburger’s San Antonio office. “We’re seeing a growing need of these services from our clients, both young and old, as more out-of-state families are moving to Central and South Texas. The addition of Chris, Mo, and Kimberly brings the total of estate planners in the San Antonio office to nine. Deepening our capacity of estate planners brings value not only to our clients, but to our firm now and for the years to come.”
Heinrichs founded Heinrichs & De Gennaro P.C in 1993 and oversaw its operations before becoming Clark Hill Strasburger’s newest Of Counsel, where he’ll work with other attorneys and clients in addressing estate planning needs. Board Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization (TBLS) in Estate Planning, Probate Law and Tax Law since 1984, Heinrichs is a Life Fellow of the San Antonio Bar Foundation and was recognized as a "Super Lawyer" in 2003, 2005 and 2015 – 2019, inclusive. He received his bachelor’s degree in political science from Tulane University in New Orleans and his law degree from St. Mary’s University School of Law, where he received the James P. Lytton Award for being the most outstanding graduating senior and taught estate and gift Taxation for 11 years as an adjunct professor. He obtained his Master of Law in Taxation from New York University School of Law.
Joining Clark Hill Strasburger alongside her father as Senior Counsel, where she’ll be responsible for working with clients to address their estate planning and administration needs, Shipp was formerly Vice President at Heinrichs & De Gennaro P.C. Also Board Certified in Estate Planning and Probate Law by TBLS, Shipp is a member of the San Antonio Estate Planners Council, the Texas Bar Foundation, and was named as one of San Antonio's Rising Stars for 2011 and 2012. She was in SA Scene Magazine’s S.A. Lawyers: Best of 2014 and was a recipient of the 2018 San Antonio Bar Association President’s Award for her work with the Community Justice Program following the shooting in Sutherland Springs. She received her Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Missouri at Columbia in 2002, attended St. Mary’s University School of Law as well as received her Juris Doctor from the school in 2008. Shipp taught an undergraduate class in estate planning at the University of the Incarnate Word and currently serves on its Planned Giving Committee. She is a frequent speaker at St. Mary’s University School of Law in various trust and estate classes.
Ford, joining Clark Hill Strasburger as Associate where she’ll focus on estate planning and probate, held the same position at Heinrichs & De Gennaro P.C., where she drafted wills and worked on estate administrations, probate and guardianships proceedings. She is a member of the Real Estate, Probate and Trust Law Section of the State Bar, the San Antonio Estate Planners Council, and the San Antonio Young Lawyers Association. Ford received her bachelor’s degree with honors in journalism at The University of Texas at Austin in 2011 and attended St. Mary’s University School of Law and received her Juris Doctor from the school in 2014.
The firm has experienced a great deal of growth and success since Clark Hill and Strasburger & Price combined to form Clark Hill Strasburger a little over a year ago. The firm saw gross revenue grow by 52.8 percent in 2018 and currently has up to 642 attorneys worldwide, a 62.9 percent jump from last year. The firm’s San Antonio office currently employees 41 attorneys.
