GALVESTON — A League City man is suing his former employer, alleging he is being falsely accused of violating a non-compete agreement.

Jerry Waggoner filed a complaint June 17 in Galveston County District Court against Circor International Inc., alleging violation of the Texas Business and Commerce Code.

According to complaint, Waggoner, who used to work for Circor, was sent a demand letter Feb. 21 from the defendant, alleging he was in violation of a non-compete agreement. The plaintiff seeks a court declaration deeming the non-compete agreement unenforceable and overbroad in scope and argues that Circor's actions are hurting his business reputation.

Waggoner also seeks temporary, preliminary and permanent injunctive relief, attorney fees and all further just relief. He is represented by attorneys Tracy Graces Wolf and of Brent Sedge of Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith LLP in Dallas.
