Man jumps off trampoline and injures himself, sues Altitude Trampoline Park for $1M

GALVESTON — A Harris County man is suing a Texas City trampoline park, alleging he was injured when he jumped off a trampoline.

Michael Shannon Loy filed a complaint July 5 in Galveston County District Court against Altitude Trampoline Park and Altitude Trampoline Parks of South Texas LLC, alleging negligence, 

According to the complaint, on Oct. 1, 2017, Loy was at Altitude Trampoline Park in Texas City. The suit says Loy was injured when he jumped off a trampoline and landed in a foam pit. The injuries, the suit alleges, caused the plaintiff to undergo therapy, diagnostic testing, steroid injections and surgery.

The plaintiff alleges the defendant allowed a dangerous condition to exist, failed to warn about the hazard and was negligent in allowing and creating unsafe jumping conditions.

Loy seeks between $200,000 and $1 million, interest, attorney fees, court costs and all other just relief. He is represented by attorneys John K. Zaid, Joe I. Zaid and Ryan E. Bill of John K. Zaid & Associates in Houston.
