HOUSTON — A Fort Bend County man is suing a Sugarland shopping plaza, alleging he was injured when he fell through a plywood cover.

Thomas Mininni filed a complaint July 12 in the Harris County District Court against Whitestone Reit, Whitestone Williams Trace Plaza LLC, Whitestone Reit Operating Partnership LP, alleging gross negligence.

According to the complaint, on Dec. 21, 2018, Mininni was at Whitestone Williams Trace Plaza, 3300 Highway 6, Sugarland. The suit says the plaintiff fell through a makeshift plywood cover at the back of a Pinch-A-Penny Supply store. The fall, the plaintiff says, led to severe and permanent injuries, plus pain and suffering and medical expenses.

Mininni seeks monetary relief of more than $500,000, trial by jury and other just  relief. He is represented by attorneys Wesley A. Jackson and Avery N. Sheppard of Ware, Jackson, Lee, O'Neill, Smith & Barrow LLP in Houston.
