HOUSTON — A Spring man is suing a debt collection company, alleging he was repeatedly called even after he requested the calls to stop.
Michael L. Fulenwider filed a complaint July 16 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Radius Global Solutions LLC, alleging violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and the Texas Debt Collection Act.
The plaintiff alleges he began receiving collection calls to his cellphone earlier this year. Fulenwider says he would ask for Radius Global to stop calling, but the defendant has failed to cease, causing the plaintiff frustration and annoyance with at least 20 calls.
Fulenwider seeks trial by jury, $1,000 for statutory damages, punitive damages, attorney fees, court costs and all other just and appropriate relief. He is represented by attorneys Nathan C. Volheim and Taxiarchis Hatzidimitriadis of Sulaiman Law Group Ltd. in Lombard, Illinois.
