TYLER — A Gregg County man is suing an Atlanta company, alleging he was injured on the job in Kilgore due to the defendant's negligence.

Coris Mack filed a complaint July 16 in the Tyler Division of the Eastern District of Texas against RPC Inc., alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, Mack was working Dec. 29, 2017, at the facility in Kilgore as a "green hat" to resolve a problem with a jammed pipe stored on a reel. Mack alleges he was walking toward his forklift when he was hit by a pipe and thrown about 30 feet into the air. The plaintiff says he sustained injuries to his back, left elbow and ankle that required medical attention and led to a loss of earning capacity.

The plaintiff alleges RPC failed to provide a safe work environment or provide rules and regulations for the safety of employees.

Mack seeks trial by jury, interest, actual damages, interest, costs of suit and all other just relief. He is represented by attorney Marc C. Mayfield of Mayfield Law Office in Longview.
