Mother alleges Said 'N Sea negligence caused daughter to fall from bunkbed

GALVESTON — A Rosharon woman is suing a Galveston property owner, alleging her child fell from a bunkbed and sustained injuries.

Christina Masroor, individually and as next of friend of her minor child, A.M., filed a complaint July 17 in Galveston County District Court against Said 'N Sea Properties LLC, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, on March 13, A.M. in her bunk bed on the top part and leaned back where she expected a rail to be. However, the suit alleges, there was no rail and the child fell to the ground from a height of about 5 feet. 

Masroor alleges she heard her child screaming, rushed into the room and then took A.M. to the nearest emergency room to have surgery for a broken right arm. The plaintiff alleges that the defendant was negligent through failing to provide a safe establishment.

Masroor seeks monetary relief between $100,000 and $200,000, interest, court costs and all other just relief. She is represented by attorney Roshun A. Phipps of Bronston Legal PC in Houston.
