CLARK HILL: Food and Drug Law Seminar to be Held October 18, 2019

Clark Hill PLC issued the following announcement on July 18.

Current issues in food and drug law will be discussed in a new seminar held in Austin, TX on October 18, 2019. Clark Hill Strasburger Member Michael Walsh serves as Course Director of the Texas State Bar Food and Drug Law seminar which is designed to provide valuable information on complex food and drug law issues to those within the food industry, from production and product development through enforcement. Attendees will learn about the current trends, emerging risks, and the current status of the laws governing the industry.

Members and experienced counsel will discuss issues including manufacturing, labeling, transportation, import and export, litigation and enforcement, and strategies for responding. Attendees will also learn about emerging technologies, such as blockchain and bitcoin, which are increasingly part of the food and drug industry.

By the close of the Food and Drug Law 2019: Compliance, Enforcement and Litigation Course, attendees should feel confident enough to review their own organizations procedures and know how to make valuable changes or take on new business in the food and drug law industry.

A reception sponsored by Clark Hill Strasburger will be held at the Hampton Inn & Suites and will include a final presentation on Tennessee Wine and Spirits v. Blair, a recap of the recent Supreme Court decision and what this will mean for the industry. Bonus MCLE credit will be included for this event.
