Photographer alleges ExpoHound used his photograph without permission

HOUSTON —A photographer is suing a Friendswood online service, alleging it used his photograph without his permission.

Paul Reiffer filed a complaint July 23 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against ExpoHound LLC and Jared Kinchen, alleging copyright infringement.

According to the complaint, Reiffer is a professional landscape, cityscape and commercial photographer. The suit alleges he who owned the rights to a 2012 photo of the Bay Bridge called "Save Me San Francisco." 

The lawsuit states ExpoHound was not licensed to use the work for any purpose but Reiffer learned that the defendant had displayed the photo on its website without the plaintiff's permission.

Reiffer seeks actual damages, interest, attorney fees, costs and all just and proper relief. He is represented by attorneys Shawn M. Grady of the Law Firm of Shawn M. Grady PLLC in Houston and Joel B. Rothman of Sriplaw in Boca Raton, Florida.
