Visitor alleges Galveston property manager's negligence led to assault

GALVESTON — A Galveston County woman is suing a Galveston property manager, alleging she was assaulted and battered due to the defendants' negligence.

Patricia Lucious filed a complaint Aug. 14 in Galveston County District Court against Winn Street Properties LLC, alleging negligence and premises liability.

According to the complaint, on June 14, 2018, Lucious was an invitee of the defendant's property, 918 Winnie St., Galveston. The suit alleges Lucious was sexually assaulted and battered, causing her to suffer severe physical injuries, pain, mental anguish and a loss of wages.

Lucious seeks between $200,000 and $1 million in monetary relief, trial by jury, interest, court costs and all other appropriate relief. She is represented by attorneys Brent M. Cordell and Antone L. Peterson of Smith & Hassler in Houston.
