GALVESTON — A Galveston County man is suing a dental team, alleging its negligence caused him to lose a tooth.
James C. Bollom filed a complaint Aug. 14 in Galveston County District Court against Dr. Dan Ellis, Dr. Sarah Kwang, DentalOne Partners, Dental Service Syndicate LLC, Network Provider Associates PC and Dental One Inc., alleging misrepresentation and negligence.
According to the complaint, Bollom went to the defendants' facility for an annual cleaning and checkup. The suit states the defendant ran a number of tests and informed the plaintiff that he needed to have a root canal filling replaced, which was not true.
The defendant allegedly was negligent in the replacement of the filling, drilling through the side of Bollom's front tooth and causing the plaintiff to lose his front tooth.
Bollom seeks between $45,000 and $50,000 in monetary relief, interest and all other just relief. The plaintiff is representing himself.
