Customer alleges Indio Mexican Restaurant's faulty patio caused fall

HOUSTON — A Harris County woman is suing a Houston restaurant, alleging a faulty patio caused her to sustain injuries.

Carla Timmons filed a complaint Aug. 13 in Harris County District Court against Indio's Mexican Restaurant LLC and Chan Cam Hoang, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, Timmons was a guest at Indio's, 6203 Irvington Blvd., Houston, on July 24. The suit said Timmons was seriously and permanently injured when the wooden patio floorboards gave way and the plaintiff fell through.

The plaintiff alleges the defendant failed to maintain the premesis.

Timmons seeks between $200,000 and $1 million, interest, court costs and all other just relief. She is represented by attorney Magaly Grimaldo of Daspit Law Firm PLLC in Houston.
