HOUSTON — A consumer is suing a San Antonio debt collection company, alleging the defendant harassed him.

Stanford Hill Jr. filed a complaint Aug. 13 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against AP Account Services LLC, alleging violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and the Texas Debt Collection Act.

According to the complaint, Hill sustained difficult financial times and fell behind on a loan in October 2017. The suit says he began to be contacted by AP Account.

The plaintiff said he was contacted on his cellphone and requested that the defendant stop calling him. The defendant, however, allegedly continued to call Hill more than 30 times.

Hill seeks trial by jury, $500 per phone call, attorney fees, court costs and other just and appropriate relief. He is represented by attorneys Alexander J. Taylor, Marwan R. Daher and Omar T. Sulaiman of Sulaiman Law Group Ltd., in Lombard, Illinois.
