HOUSTON — A Houston woman is suing an electric company, alleging her power was lost due to the defendant's negligence.

Carmen Palacios filed a complaint Aug. 15 in Harris County District Court against Cabletex Communication LLC also known as Cable Tex Communication & Magic Cable Underground Inc., alleging negligence and deceptive trade practices.

According to the complaint, Palacios' electric power cables were negligently drilled into by Cable Tex on Aug. 7, 2018, at the address of 15130 Beechnut St., Houston.
