HOUSTON —Two workers are suing a Crosby property owner, alleging negligence led to an explosion that injured the plaintiffs.

Enrique Martinez and James Pierson filed a complaint Aug. 19 in Harris County District Court against KMCO LLC, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, on April 2, Martinez and Pierson were working at the KMCO facility at 16503 Ramsey Road, Crosby. The suit alleges an explosion and fire took place at the facility that killed one person and injured many others, including the plaintiffs, who sustained pain and suffering and mental anguish.

The plaintiffs allege that despite knowing there was a leak of dangerous hydrocarbons prior to the explosion, the defendant failed to provide any warnings.

Martinez and Pierson seek more than $1 million, damages, interest and all just relief. They are by represented attorneys Benny Agosto Jr. and Kelly M. Woods of Abraham, Watkins, Nichols, Sorrels, Agosto & Aziz in Houston.
