Kroger customer alleges food spillage caused fall, injuries

HOUSTON — A Harris County man is suing Kroger, alleging that he was injured due to the defendants' negligence.

Nathan Soriano filed a complaint Aug. 20 in the Harris County District Court against Kroger Texas LP, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, on July 14, 2018, Soriano was a guest at Kroger, 12434 state Highway 249, Houston. The suit says Soriano slipped and fell on spillage near the lunch meat aisle, causing the plaintiff to suffer immense pain in his leg. 

The plaintiff said he had to be transported to Willowbrook Methodist Hospital by ambulance where his injuries led to impairment and medical expenses.

The plaintiff seeks up to $100,000 in monetary relief, damages, attorney fees, court costs and all other just relief. He is represented by attorney M. Sean Ponce of Daspit Law Firm PLLC in Houston.
