Customer blames HEB Grocery negligence for fall

HOUSTON — A Harris County woman is suing a Houston grocery store, alleging she slipped and fell on a liquid substance.

Angela Flowers filed a complaint on Aug. 23 in Harris County District Court against HEB Grocery Company LP, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, Flowers was a guest at HEB Grocery, 9503 Jones Road, Houston, on June 22. The suit says Flowers was exiting the bathroom when she slipped and fell on a slick substance that was leaking from the ice machine near the checkout area. Flowers alleges she sustained bodily injuries due to her fall.

Flowers seeks trial by jury, monetary relief between $200,000 and $1 million, attorney fees, court costs, interest and all just relief. She is represented by attorneys Joe Gabel, John Arthur Daspit and Robert Morse of Daspit Law Firm PLLC in Houston.
