GALVESTON — A Galveston County woman is suing a Walmart, alleging she was injured when she slipped and fell on a substance in the defendant's Kemah store.

Patricia Galvin filed a complaint Aug. 30 in Galveston County District Court against Walmart Stores of Texas LLC, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, Galvin was a guest at the Walmart 3298, 255 FM 518, Kemah on Nov. 1, 2017. The suit alleges Galvin slipped and fell on a substance that had been left on the ground without any warning and she sustained injuries. The plaintiff said she had to seek medical treatment as a result of the fall, which caused pain and suffering, mental anguish, disfigurement, lost wages and loss of the ability to enjoy life.

Galvin seeks monetary relief of more than $100,000, attorney fees, court costs and all further equitable relief. She is represented by attorneys Adam Ramji and Orlando Zambrano of Ramji Law Group in Houston.
