HOUSTON — A Houston woman is suing Dillard's, alleging she was injured due to the negligence of management.
Linda Johnson filed a complaint Aug. 21 in Harris County District Court against Dillard's Inc., doing business as Dillard Department Stores Inc., alleging negligence.
According to the complaint on Aug. 27, 2017, Johnson was a guest of Dillard's, at 4925 Westheimer Road, Houston. The suit alleges she tripped over a small stool in one of the aisles, causing her to strike the ground and sustain permanent and painful bodily injuries, which led to mental anguish and medical expenses.
The plaintiff alleges Dillard's failed to hire qualified employees and failed to remedy a dangerous situation.
Johnson seeks between $200,000 and $1 million, attorney fees, court costs, interest and all just relief. She is represented by attorneys Bridgit Ann White, Mark O. Midani, Tara Afrakhteh Milliff and Brandyn M. Butler of The Midani Law Firm in Houston.
