HOUSTON — A patient is suing a Houston medical team, alleging negligence cause her to suffer eye damages.

Kendall Harris filed a complaint Aug. 22 in the County District Court against registered nurse Melissa Weaver and Memorial Hermann Health System, doing business as Memorial Hermann Southeast Hospital, alleging negligence.

The suit states that despite a product warning against Hibiclens being used on the eyes, Weaver, the nurse presiding over Harris' care prepped the plaintiff's upper facial skin with Hibiclens, causing the plaintiff to suffer injuries to her eye.
