Customer alleges Kroger negligence caused him to fall in puddle

HOUSTON — A customer is suing Kroger, alleging she was caused to slip and fall in a puddle on the defendant's property.

Nora Sosa filed a complaint Aug. 26 in Harris County District Court against The Kroger Company, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, Sosa was a guest at Kroger facility, 1801 South Voss Road, Houston, on July 13, 2018. The suit states as Sosa was approaching the register she slipped in a large puddle and fell violently to the ground, leading to severe personal injuries. 

The plaintiff alleges Kroger failed to warn her of the dangerous condition. 

Sosa seeks monetary relief between $200,000 and $1 million, trial by jury, attorney fees, interest and court costs. She is represented by attorneys Michael S. Tilton and Richard M. Franks of Tilton & Tilton LLP in Houston.
