Employee alleges petroleum company owes him $61,000

HOUSTON — A Harris County man is suing a petroleum company, alleging he was not paid $61,000 according to an outlined agreement.

Christean Kapp filed a complaint Aug. 28 in Harris County District Court against Comp Master LLC, Kerui Petroleum Equipment (America) Corp., Erui International USA LLC and Erui America LLC, alleging liability and breach of contract.

According to the complaint, Kapp, Comp Master and Keuri Petroleum entered into an agreement Dec. 13, 2018, on of a claim for wages, insurance and accrued vacation. The settlement agreement allegedly called for 12 equal monthly payments on Jan. 15, 2019, but the suit states the defendants only made six of them. The defendants allegedly owe $61,000.

Kapp seeks less than $100,000, attorney fees, court costs, interest and all just relief. He is represented by attorneys Robert J. Filteau and John A. Sullivan III of the Law Offices of Filteau & Sullivan LTD LLP in Houston.
