GALVESTON — A buyer is suing a property seller, alleging he was not given the Galveston County property that he purchased.

Todd Anders filed a complaint Sept. 9 in Galveston County District Court against Chekesha Brazeal, alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, in 2009 Gerald Burks executed a deal to sell Anders a property in Galveston County for $135,000. The suit states Anders learned had been made to overpay the purchase price by $25,000.

The lawsuit states Burks has since died but Brazeal, his daughter, refuses to convey the property to the plaintiff.

Anders seeks $25,000 in damages, attorney fees, court costs, interest and all other just relief. He is represented by attorney Jerry L. Schutza of Houston.
