Texas City property owner alleges tenant owes more than $56,000

GALVESTON — A Texas City property owner is suing a tenant, alleging it breached a contract and failed to pay through the end of the term.

Greg Carroll LLC filed a complaint Sept. 12 in Galveston County District Court against Cris A. Rasco P.C. doing business as Rasco Law Firm, alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, Greg Carroll leased a property at 2701 Palmer Highway, Texas City to Rasco Law Firm on Sept. 1, 2016 . The suit states the law firm agreed to pay the plaintiff $2,700 for every month of a 36-month term. The defendant allegedly was also liable for any late payments equal to 10% of the amount due. 

The suit states Rasco Law Firm breached the contract and failed to pay through the end of the term. The plaintiff says the defendant is indebted for the balance of $48,600, plus late fees and costs for a total amount of $56,556.

Greg Carroll seeks up to $100,000, attorney fees, court costs, interest and all just relief. It is represented by attorneys Christopher L. Johnson, Justin M. Kornegay and Morgan A. Jenkins of Johnson & Associates Attorneys at Law PLLC in League City.
