GALVESTON — A friend/relative is suing a League City business, alleging a customer fell and tripped and fell on a poorly constructed step.

James Steven Carlisle, as next friend of Garry Carlisle, filed a complaint Sept. 20 in the Galveston County District Court against Prince Al-Sahli, doing business as Car Tunes, alleging gross negligence and liability.

According to the complaint, on July 4, 2018, Garry Carlisle was visiting Car Tunes on Gulf Freeway in League City. The suit states as he walked toward the entrance he tripped and fell on a makeshift step. Carlisle states he landed forcefully on the ground and sustained severe and extensive physical injuries, leading to pain and suffering, mental anguish, disfigurement and medical expenses.

The plaintiff alleges Car Tunes should have known about the dangerous condition.

The Carlisles seek between $200,000 and $1 million, attorney fees, court costs interest and all just relief. They are represented by Jeffrey N. Todd of The Todd Law Group PLLC in Houston.
