BEAUMONT – A benzene suit has been filed against several companies, including Chevron, ExxonMobil, Texaco and Total Petrochemical.
Alvert and Sarah Paul Boudreaux filed their suit on Oct. 1 in Jefferson County District Court.
According to the lawsuit, Alvert worked as a pipefitter in Port Arthur from 1977 to 1990 and was exposed to benzene and benzene-containing products.
The plaintiffs are represented by area attorney Tina Bradley.
Judge Kent Walston, 58th District Court, has been assigned to the case.
