HOUSTON — A former general manger for the Northwest Harris County Municipal Utility District (MUD) No. 24 is alleging that the county failed to pay him overtime.
Clarence Miller filed a compliant on Oct. 28 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Northwest Harris County MUD No. 24, alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Miller alleges in his suit that during the last three years of his employment with MUD No. 24, he "regularly worked 20-30 hours of overtime each week" and was not compensated for his overtime work that included attending activities, hiring staff, updating records and advising on water code violations.
Miller seeks trial by jury and monetary relief, including unpaid wages, litigation costs and interest. He is represented by Shelly Davis-Smith of The Davis-Smith Law Firm in Houston.
