GALVESTON – A woman is suing a Galveston property owner for more than $1 million after she fell down the stairs of his property and suffered injuries.

Melissa Foster filed a complaint Nov. 6 in Galveston County District Court against Ben Raimer alleging negligence.

According to the suit, Foster was a guest of Derek Anderson, who was living on Raimer's Galveston property, on Feb. 11, 2018, when she fell down an interior stairway and suffered injuries. Foster alleges the stairs had no handrail, no lights and uneven steps. She alleges Raimer failed to safeguard invitees from unreasonably unsafe and dangerous conditions.

Foster seeks monetary relief more than $1 million, interest and other just relief. She is represented by Timothy Roehrs of The Carlson Law Firm PC in Killeen.
