Motorist alleges GK Transport negligence caused tractor-trailer crash

CORPUS CHRISTI — A motorist is suing the driver of a tractor-trailer and his employer after a vehicle collision on state Highway 16 in McMullen County resulted in his severe injuries. 

Gullermo Guajardo, Jr filed a complaint Nov. 14 in the Corpus Christi Division of the Southern District of Texas against GK Transport Inc., and Roy McArthur, alleging negligence and gross negligence.

According to the complaint, on Jan. 26, Guajardo was traveling on state Highway 16 near the intersection of FM 624 when McArthur, driving a tractor-trailer for GK Transport, failed to yield at a stop sign and smashed into the plaintiff's vehicle. 

The plaintiff states he suffered permanent injuries to his neck, back, shoulder and shock to his nervous system as well as medical expenses. The suit alleges the plaintiff's condition has continued to deteriorate

Guajardo seeks monetary relief, trial by jury, interest and all other just relief. He is represented by attorney Richard Hunnicutt III of The Law Office of Thomas Henry in San Antonio.
