HOUSTON — Dollar General faces a negligence suit from a customer who allegedly slipped on a clear liquid at one of the defendant's Houston stores.

Daphne Wilson of Harris County filed a complaint Nov. 26 in Harris County Circuit Court against Dolgencorp of Texas Inc., doing business as Dollar General Store No. 13621, alleging negligence and premises liability.

According to the complaint, on Oct. 31, Wilson was at the Dollar General Store on Imperial Valley Drive in Houston. The suit states she slipped on a "clear gel liquid" on the floor. The plaintiff says she suffered injuries to her head, face, back and other areas.

She alleges Dollar General is negligent for not having warning signs or for taking care to maintain the safety at its store.

Wilson seeks monetary relief of under $100,000, interest, costs of court and all other just relief. She is represented by attorney Jesus Salinas of The Daspit Law Firm in Houston.
