SSH Medical accused of $68,000 in missed lease payments

GALVESTON — SSH Medical Center faces breach of contract suit, alleging it owes $68,000 in payments for its lease of a League City commercial property. 

SAHM Properties Woodland Hills LLC filed a complaint  Dec. 13 in Galveston County District Court against SSH Medical Center LLC, doing business as First Choice Emergency Room & First Choice ER LLC, alleging breach of contract and breach of guaranty. 

According to the complaint, SAHM and League City Medical Center entered into a 15-year lease agreement for a League City commercial property in which First Choice is listed as the sole grantor. SAHM alleges SSH Medical is required to make the monthly payments under the lease agreement and owes $68,000 for November and December payments. SAHM also alleges SSH received a default notice on Dec. 5. 

SAHM seeks monetary relief, interest, costs of suit, attorney fees and all other just relief. They are represented by attorneys J. Michael Bell and Caitlan Gernert of Thompson & Knight LLP in Houston.
