HOUSTON – A Houston woman injured when she slipped and fell in her apartment shower blames her fall on the alleged negligence of the building's manager and operator.

Carolyn Christine Brock filed a complaint Dec. 14 in the Harris County District Court against Cambridge Place Apartments, U.S. Residential Group LLC and RFI Cambridge Place LLC alleging negligence and premises liability.

According to her complaint, Brock was showering in her apartment located in Houston on Oct. 3, 2018, when she slipped and fell and suffered serious personal injuries. She alleges that the defendants, who control, manage and lease her apartment building, failed to promptly repair and maintain the building's fixtures.

Brock seeks monetary relief between $200,000 and $1 million, a trial by jury, interest and all other just relief. She is represented by Husein Hadi, Jamil Thomas, Carnegie Mims III and Sedrick Stagg of The Hadi Law Firm in Houston.
