HOUSTON — A Humble, Texas man is suing Jaguar Land Rover claiming his newly leased Range Rover is defective and that despite 40 days in repair, the issues were not able to be fixed.

Philip Saunders filed a complaint Jan. 21 in the Harris County District Court against Jaguar Land Rover North America LLC alleging violation of the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices-Consumer Protection Act.

Saunders leased a 2019 Land Rover Range Rover HSE Supercharged on Aug. 22, 2018 from Land Rover Autobahn in Fort Worth for $142,000. He alleges the vehicle has several defects including its transmission, starting, radio and controls. Saunders claims the vehicle has spent about 40 days in the repair shop without the issues being able to be repaired.

Saunders seeks monetary relief, interest and all other just relief. He is represented by Craig Patrick of The Patrick Law Firm PC in Dallas.
