Woman claims she fell on loose floor tile at Homestead Shell in Houston

HOUSTON — A woman who fell on a loose floor tile at a Homestead Shell in Houston is claiming negligence. 

Hanoi Young filed a complaint Jan. 22 in the Harris County District Court against Allaham Enterprises doing business as Homestead Shell alleging negligence. 

Young was at the defendant's Tidwell Road store in Houston on June 20, 2019. She alleges that while walking to the back of the store near the location of the drink cooler, a floor tile came loose causing her to fall. Young claims she suffered injuries to her shoulder, back, neck and knee. She also claims the defendant should have known of the dangerous condition and failed to warn about or correct the condition. 

Young seeks monetary relief between $200,000 and $1 million, trial by jury, interest and all other just relief.  She is represented by Magaly Grimaldo of The Daspit Law Firm in Houston.
