HOUSTON — Two Bay Area Regional Medical Center doctors and a nurse anethetist are facing a negligent claim by a woman who was left with partial paralysis after a spinal steroid injection procedure.
Christina Keeling filed a complaint Jan. 23 in the Harris County District Court against Ted Lin, M.D., Larry Cato, M.D., Interventional Pain Specialists PLLC., Laboratory Corporation of America and others alleging negligence.
Keeling underwent a cervical epidural steroid injection on Jan. 30, 2018 at Bay Area Regional Medical Center by Dr. Lin for treatment of back and neck pain. She alleges during the procedure, her spinal cord was punctured causing her to have paralysis in her left arm and hand. Keeling also claims the defendants failed to properly observe and diagnosis her issues during her postoperative recovery due to over sedation.
Keeling seeks monetary relief between $200,000 and $2 million, trial by jury, interest and all other just relief. She is represented by Steven Davis of Davis & Davis in Houston.
