HOUSTON — A trucking company is claiming they were scammed by The Tire Import Group after purchasing more than $100,000 in truck tires.

Running Horse LLC filed a complaint Jan. 30 in the Harris County District Court against Ted Gusikoski, The Tire Import Group Inc., and On Task Marketing Group Inc., alleging breach of contract.

Running Horse purchased 504 truck tires for $130,252 from On Task in August of 2019. Running Horse alleges they paid On Task a $65,126 deposit and that according to the purchase contract, was refundable if for some reason the tires could not be provided. They allege that within a month of purchasing the tires, On Task demanded an additional $50,000 to deliver the tires which they refused to pay. Running Horse claims they have only received a $50,000 refund of their deposit.

Running Horse seeks monetary relief of $15,126, interest and all other just relief. They are represented by William Ferebee of Steptoe & Johnson PLLC in The Woodlands.
