Woman sues Kroger claiming she slipped on substance while shopping, suffered injuries

RICHMOND — A woman who claims she slipped, fell and suffered injuries while shopping at Kroger in Katy is claiming the store's negligence. 

Brigett Bentley filed a complaint Jan. 8 in the Fort Bend County District Court against Kroger Texas LP alleging negligence. 

Bentley was shopping at the Kroger store in Katy on Sept. 21, 2019. She alleges that while shopping, she slipped and fell on "a slippery substance" and suffered multiple injuries. Bentley claims Kroger failed to correct or warn customers about the hazardous condition. 

Bentley seeks monetary relief between $200,000 and $1 million, trial by jury, interest and all other just relief. She is represented by Christopher Morrell of The Morrell Law Firm PLLC in Houston.
