RICHMOND — A Pakistan-based produce exporter claims a Texas mango distributor defrauded them out of about $9,000 worth of produce goods.

Burney Traders filed a complaint  Jan. 27 in the Fort Bend County District Court against Simi Enterprises Inc., King Mangoes and others alleging breach of agreement, fraud, unjust enrichment and conversion.

According to their complaint, Burney Traders alleges the defendants imported about $9,000 worth of mangoes from them and "forged" bank documents to show that they had wire transferred money to Burney Traders. Burney Traders claims the defendants also made "false representations" about their business to "induce" them to ship the mangoes.

Burney Traders seeks monetary relief between $100,000 and $1 million, interest and all other just relief. They are represented by Attorney Altaf Adam in Sugar Land.
