HOUSTON —  A man who slipped and suffered injuries at Lupe Tortilla in Harris County claims an employee told him they were aware of the slippery condition prior to his fall.

Juan Rosas filed a complaint Feb. 14 in the Harris County District Court against Lupe Holdings LP doing business as Tortilla and Lupe Tortilla alleging negligence.

Rosas was at Lupe Tortilla in Harris County on Jan. 3, 2020. He alleges that while on the premises, he slipped and fell on a "slippery substance" and suffered injuries. Rosas claims that following his accident, a worker from Lupe Tortilla told him that they were aware of the slippery conditions but failed to warn of the dangerous condition including failing to put out a "wet floor" sign.

Rosas seeks monetary relief, interest and all other just relief. He is represented by J. Moises Cedillos of The Cedillos Law Firm PLLC in Houston.
