HOUSTON — A man is alleging a Houston dentist perforated his sinus cavities during a tooth extraction.

Bruce Lawson filed a complaint Feb. 14 in the Harris County District Court against Southern Dental at Palm Center PLLC, Christopher Stevenson, DDS and Tralgongo LLC alleging negligence.

Lawson had two teeth extracted by Stevenson at Southern Dental on Jan. 24, 2018. He alleges that during the procedure, Stevenson perforated one of his sinus cavities causing him to suffer nerve damage, nausea and headaches.  After seeking treatment from another dentist on May 15, 2018, Lawson claims he learned he had a hole develop between the roots of extracted teeth and maxillary sinus.

Lawson seeks monetary relief between $200,000 and $1 million, interest and all other just relief. He is represented by Cliff Walston and Amir Siddik of Walston Bowlin LLP in Houston.
