Crystal Beach restaurant faces suit by woman alleging she tripped over sign, suffered injuries

GALVESTON — A Crystal Beach restaurant and marina is facing a negligence claim filed by a woman alleging she tripped over a sign and suffered injuries. 

Norma Zbranek filed a complaint Feb 18 in the Galveston County District Court against Stingaree Operating LLC alleging premises liability and negligence. 

Zbranek, who was 71 years-old at the time, was at Stingaree Restaurant and Marina in Crystal Beach on Sept. 1, 2018. She alleges that while walking through the property, she tripped and fell over the "leg" of a sign that was in the pathway. Zbranek claims she suffered injuries, physical impairment and loss of earnings due to the alleged accident. 

Zbranek seeks monetary relief, interest and all other just relief. She is represented by Jeffrey Todd of The Todd Law Group PLLC in Houston.
