HOUSTON — Murphy Oil is facing a negligence claim after a woman slipped on an oil spill at their Houston premises and suffered injuries.
Maria Navarro filed a complaint Feb. 19 in the Harris County District Court against Murphy Oil USA Inc., alleging negligence and premises liability.
Navarro was on Murphy Oil's premises in Houston on Oct. 15, 2019. She alleges that she slipped on a gas spill and suffered injuries. Navarro claims that Murphy Oil failed to warn her of the dangerous condition and failed to conduct proper maintenance of their premises.
Navarro seeks monetary relief between $200,000 and $1 million, interest, trial by jury and all other just relief. She is represented by Abraham Garcia and Carlos Saldana of KGS Law Group in Houston.
