AUSTIN — A former consultant for Connect Invest is claiming the company's breach of contract for not paying him severance and other benefits.

David Lowe filed a complaint Feb. 17 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas Austin Division against Connect Invest Corporation and Todd Parriott alleging breach of contract.

Lowe entered into a "contract consulting engagement and employment agreement" with Connect Invest on May 18, 2018. The contract included Lowe receiving 401 (k) benefits, reimbursement for business expenses  and a "one-year fixed salary as severance pay" if his employment should end. He alleges that on Dec. 18, 2019 Connect Invest "separated" his employment without giving severance and the other promised benefits of his employment contract.

Lowe seeks monetary relief exceeding $75,000, trial by jury, interest and all other proper relief.
