SHERMAN — A woman is claiming the negligence of Sprouts Farmers Market after she allegedly slipped on a wet surface and lost consciousness at their store.

Josefina Flores filed a complaint Feb. 25 in the Sherman Division of the Eastern District of Texas against Sprouts Farmers Market Texas LP, SFM Manager LLC and others alleging liability and negligence.

Flores was shopping at Sprouts Farmers Market in Flower Mound on Feb. 28, 2018. She alleges that while walking towards the shopping cart area of the store, she slipped and fell on "a liquid substance" that was on the floor. Flores claims she fell backward and hit her head and back which caused her to lose consciousness. She alleges there were no wet floor signs in the area of her fall.

Flores seeks monetary relief exceeding $75,000, interest, trial by jury and all other just relief. She is represented by James Perrin of Fargason, Booth, St. Clair, Richards & Wilkins LLP in Lubbock.
