AUSTIN — A teenage girl claims while working at Chipotle she faced sexual harassment by a kitchen manager.
Sofia Camarena filed a complaint Feb. 26 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas Austin Division against Chipotle Mexican Grill alleging violation of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
Camarena, who was 17 years old at the time, began working for Chipotle in September of 2018. She alleges that soon after starting work, the kitchen manager Colby Corsaut began to make sexually explicit comments, constantly tried to hug her and caressed her legs and upper thighs. Camarena claims she was forced not to return to work since Chipotle failed to handle the situation and create a safe work environment.
Camarena seeks monetary relief, interest, trial by jury and all other just relief.
