Man claims valet at Sam Houston Hotel hit him with luggage rack

HOUSTON — A man who was injured when he was hit by a luggage rack being pushed by a Sam Houston Hotel valet is claiming the hotel's and others negligence. 

Edward Williams filed a complaint March 9 in the Harris County District Court against State Parking Services Inc., ALH Properties No. Twenty LP doing business as Sam Houston Hotel and others alleging negligence. 

Williams and his wife were walking to a Houston Astros game on Sept. 23, 2018. He alleges that while walking past the Sam Houston Hotel property, a hotel valet pushed a luggage rack into him causing him to fall to the ground. Williams claims he suffered severe injury and incurred medical expenses as a result of being hit by the rack. 

Williams seeks monetary relief, interest, trial by jury and all other just relief. He is represented by Joshua Hilbe of White & Harrison in Houston.
