HOUSTON — A Houston construction company is claiming it paid subcontractors more than $56,000 without the work being completed on various projects.

Jamie Salinas, doing business as Whitewall Construction, filed a complaint March 10 in the Harris County District Court against Manuel Trinidad, individually, doing business as Mac Builders & Renovation and doing business as Trinidad Contractors and others alleging violation of the Deceptive Trade Practices Act, breach of contract, fraud, unjust enrichment and negligence.

Whitewall Construction hired the defendants who are subcontractors for labor and materials at various projects. They allege the defendants only performed some of the work on the projects. Whitewall claims they paid the defendants more than $56,000 and were refused a refund for the incomplete work.

Whitewall seeks monetary relief of $56,500, interest, trial by jury and all other just relief. They are represented by Craig Welscher of The Welscher Martinez Law Firm in Houston.
