Lawsuits

HOUSTON — A Houston physician is facing a negligence suit from a patient who lost all vision in one of her eyes following eye surgery.

Dicy Bolivar filed a complaint March 12 in the Harris County District Court against Kenneth Hyde, M.D., HEA Clinic PA doing business as Houston Eye Associates alleging negligence.

Bolivar had eye surgery on Jan. 3, 2018 to repair an orbital bone fracture that was performed by Hyde at his Houston eye clinic. She alleges she lost all vision in her right eye after the surgery due to Hyde and his staff's negligence of proper care before, during and after her surgery.

Bolivar seeks monetary relief between $200,000 and $1 million, trial by jury, interest and all other just relief. She is represented by Michael Tilton and Richard Franks of Tilton & Tilton LLP in Houston.
