HOUSTON — A woman is suing a Houston auto repair claiming she was coerced into signing a repair and payment agreement.

Faye Reagins filed a complaint March 15 in the Harris County District Court against Top Gun Mobile Auto Repair LLC alleging violation of the Texas Property Code and Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act, breach of contract and conversion.

Top Gun Auto Repair picked up Reagins vehicle on July 6, 2019 and towed it to their shop. Reagins alleges Top Gun agreed to a price of $2,930 to replace her car's engine and that she paid them a $1900 deposit to start the repair work. She claims the defendant coerced her into signing a new work order for additional money and then failed to return her car by the January 2020 promised date, was seen driving her car around town and then filed a mechanics lien on the vehicle.

Reagins seeks monetary relief of $100,000 or less, interest and all other just relief. She is represented by Reginald Fox of Lone Star Legal Aid in Houston.
