IntraTug faces suit from Seaman alleging negligence after falling down stairwell aboard vessel

HOUSTON — A seaman who fell down a flight of stairs while working aboard one of IntraTug's vessels in Houston is claiming negligence. 

Shawn Williams filed a complaint March 11 in the Harris County District Court against Intracoastal Tug and Barge Company LLC doing business as IntraTug alleging maritime personal injury.

Williams was working aboard the Intra Regal in Houston on Jan. 10, 2020, which is operated and owned in part by IntraTug He alleges he fell down a flight of stairs and suffered injury to his back, ribs, ankle, hand and other parts of his body. Williams cliams the negligence  of IntraTub for not having the stair well properly lit and other unsafe issues with the vessel. 

Williams seeks monetary relief of more than $1 million, trial by jury, interest and all other just relief. He is represented by Nicholas Morrow, John Sheppard and Patrick McGinnis of Morrow & Sheppard LLP in Houston.
